School Ethos – Hard to define but impossible to do without.

School ethos is hard to define and can look and feel very different: at its most basic level, it is a feeling when you walk around a school and catch a glimpse of the beliefs and values of the school. Having a tangible ethos is vital because it is like a glue that binds the school community together and helps the whole body of the school to feel the reality of beliefs and values. Manifested in its attitudes motivations and aspirations, school ethos can be a powerful underlying current raising a schools capacity to keep moving forward.
